Exhibition: “The Balkans – studies by Bulgarian and foreign researchers”


balc.sre6ta_thumb.jpgOn 30 September 2009 in the lobby of the University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski” was opened the exhibition “The Balkans – studies by Bulgarian and foreign researchers”, which accompanied the First meeting of Balkan university libraries held in Sofia.

balc.sre6ta_plakat.jpgThe exhibition was officially opened by the director of the University Library Mrs. Anna Angelova, Ph. D. The guests and the organizers of the exhibition were greeted by Assoc. Prof. Todor Popnenelev, Ph. D. - Vice-Dean of the Faculty of History at Sofia University.
 
balc.sre6ta_snimka2.jpgThe main message of the exhibition is to show the unity and diversity of the Balkan peoples and their cultures. The displayed items offer different perspectives to the Balkans and scientific studies in various research fields. 
 
balc.sre6ta_snimka3.jpgThe exhibits cover a wide range of research in the field of history, ethnography and folklore; works on philosophy, theology, culture, political science and sociology; literary and linguistic studies; research in the field of geography, the environment, flora and fauna of the Balkans. Among them a decent place is occupied by works of teachers from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
