Dear library users, The University Library offers till May 5, 2013 a trial access to the following electronic books, scientific periodicals, reference books and conference proceedings
Begell House - full-text databases, including electronic books, journals and reference books in biomedical research and engineering;
Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) - full-text database of electronic books, scientific journals and conference proceedings in the field of energy economics, engineering, water and water regulations and EU legislation;
Morgan & Claypool Publishers - e-books in the field of biomedical engineering, computer and information science, digital systems and networks, electromagnetics, energy, technology and mathematics, communications, molecular biology and medicine;
Future Science Group (FSG) - electronic books and journals in the field of molecular biology, clinical practice, biotechnology, cardiology and vascular medicine, immunotherapy, vaccines and infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, pharmacy, women's health, etc.;
SPIE Digital Library - electronic books, journals and conference proceedings in the field of astronomy, astronomical and biomedical optics, communications and information technology, defense, electronic processing, micro- and nanotechnology;
Royal Society of Chemistry - electronic books, journals and databases in the field of analytical chemistry, life sciences, food, industrial and pharmaceutical chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, organic and physical chemistry..
On March 5, 2013 (Tuesday) at 4 pm in the lobby of the University Library was presented the jubilee exhibition "The First Librarian of the School of Higher Education", dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Prof. Lyubomir Miletich - co-founder of Sofia University and the founder of Slavic Linguistics in Bulgaria.

EBSCOhost offers trial access till March 29, 2013 to the following business and medicine databases:

Business Source Complete - the world's definitive scholarly, full-text business database, providing access to a leading collection of bibliographic and full-text content;

Regional Business News - provides extensive coverage of full-text content of regional business publications;

MEDLINE Complete - provides comprehensive prominent information in the field of medical research and related disciplines to 1,800 full-text periodicals;
- Dentistry & Oral Science Source - a reference resource in the field of dentistry;
- Alt Health Watch - database in the field of health, providing access to the latest information related to holistic medicine;
- PEMSoft - interactive clinical library and system for decision support in pediatric emergency and primary care;
- DynaMed™ - a database created by doctors as a means of reference, containing more than 3200 abstracts of clinical questions and answers from medical practice.
The new database package complements the already subscripted package for 2013 (Academic Search Complete; Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA); GreenFILE; Teacher Reference Center; European Views of the Americas: 1493-1750; Health Source: Consumer Edition).
The University Library "St. Kliment Ohridski" provides subscription for 2013-2015 to
the electronic database C.E.E.O.L.,
that offers an extensive portfolio of 850 scientific journals and more than 100,000 articles
published by prestigious academic institutions. The database is an online archive which provides
access to full-text articles in PDF and digitized documents. The titles are in the field of
humanities and social sciences and represent the best of the European Studies related to
Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" as a beneficiary successfully implemented the project
"Reconstruction, modernization and energy efficiency measures in the Rectorate building at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", contract № BG161PO001/1.1-07/2009/008 through a grant BG161PO001/1.1-07/2009" - "Support for the provision of appropriate and cost-effective infrastructure of universities in urban areas" under the Operational Programme "Regional development 2007-2013"
The project aims at the reconstruction and modernization of 1,000 sq.m depository of the University Library, complete reconstruction and modernization of the depository and the reading room of Filological branch library, energy efficiency measures and provision of access to the University to disadvantaged people.
Dear library users,
The University Library “St. Kliment Ohrdiski” has a Braille printer and a Braille display at your disposal. The Braille equipment is located in the specially equipped Reading Room for People with Disabilities.
